VW've found that looking for a new niche: The study Cross Coupe combines style elements of SUV and sports car to a four-seat four-wheel with sloping roof line. Still modeled on the BMX X6 - but VW makes it one size smaller and more economical.

Studies always give an outlook on Coming. The VW is now at the Motor Show (December 3 to 11) presented the Cross Coupe finished in four ways. Besides the upcoming brand design, a possible future model version and the modular architecture of a novel crossover plug-in hybrid drive shows in four-wheel design.

The study unveiled at the show marks the first public performance of VW's new architecture model in the compact class. The so-called modular transverse matrix, the 2012, the seventh generation of Golf celebrates its series premiere will be much more flexible than the previous platform concept and more different models make it possible to lower production costs.
